Linnahall – Tallinn Palace of Culture and Sports named after V. I. Lenin!

60

Linnahall – a gigantic concrete monolith by the sea. But what lies beneath and behind this concrete shell? On the Lantern Hikes tour of Linnahall, we move over and around the building and discover stories of its creation and fate, full of intrigue… and then we do something rare: we also go inside the building and explore the rooms where crowds have gathered, important decisions have been made and world-famous stars have performed. We visit the rooms where performers gathered their thoughts before major events, peek into the preparation rooms and feel the tension and anticipation embedded in Linnahall’s walls. During the tour, we too will step onto the stage as stars – the place where applause has sounded and history has been made. This is an encounter with Linnahall’s hidden story, memories and questions. Did you know that Linnahall once housed the world’s largest tapestry? Which stars have performed on the Linnahall stage, and what strange stories have happened to them backstage? Why was the world-famous film director Christopher Nolan so fascinated by Linnahall that he chose Tallinn, and Linnahall in particular, as one of the filming locations for his blockbuster “Tenet”? If you want to see Linnahall as most people have never seen it Starting and ending point: 6 Kursi Street, Linnahall car park For groups of fewer than 30 participants, the minimum price for 30 people applies
