The mushroom workshop is led by Kert, a natural scientist with a doctoral degree and a lecturer at Tallinn University, whose knowledge of the world of fungi opens up a completely new perspective on nature. Since the mushroom hike is not a mushroom-picking trip but an educational nature walk, the focus is on sharing knowledge and providing an enjoyable experience. Naturally, those interested can still pick the best edible mushrooms to take home. Although autumn is the classic time for mushroom walks, Estonia’s forests are home to interesting mushrooms all year round. So the mushroom workshop is an exciting and educational team event at any time of year. Mushrooms are neither plants nor animals—they are a completely separate group of living organisms, about which most of us know surprisingly little.
