PoCo Museum (entire museum)

PoCo Museum (entire museum)
The unique spaces of PoCo Museum are located in the postmodern Rotermann Quarter, where 19th-century industrial architecture and the contemporary merge. For larger celebrations and groups we offer the option to rent the entire PoCo Museum for your event. Two floors, seven halls and nearly 1000m2 of space. Selected exhibition halls have a few seats, and the last hall has a long yellow sofa – the inventory required to stage an event (tables, presentation equipment, etc.) is not provided and must be ordered separately. Organizers can order all necessary additional services for the spaces – sound and lighting equipment, catering, a bar, etc.

"Warhol PoCos" themed tour

"Warhol PoCos" themed tour
The themed tour focuses on the king of pop art and his works at PoCos. In the 1960s Warhol shone like a bright star, creating iconic works depicting Marilyn Monroe, Campbell's soup cans, and flowers. Warhol shook the 20th-century art world, and his experimentalism prophetically anticipated the future. During the guided tour we will examine Warhol's practice of appropriation, his passion for collecting, repetition, themes of death, and the manifestation of religiosity in his works. The themed tour lasts approximately 1 hour. The guided tour is available in Estonian or English. The guide takes up to 25 people on a tour at a time, so for larger groups you should book multiple tours. In that case the tours start at roughly 15-minute intervals (e.g. first group at 13:00, second group at 13:15, etc.). NB! The tour can be shortened if necessary — please let us know any special requests in advance! Please also tell us which language you would like the tour in and what time you would like it to start.

The guided tour will consider the works of Mall Nukke, Marko Mäetamme, DeStudio, Edward von Lõnguse and others. The themed tour's approximate duration is 1 hour. "Naised on POP!" themed tour

"Naised on POP!" themed tour
On this themed tour we dive into an era where, despite the fact that there were few women artists, women appear frequently in artworks. We explore how women were depicted, who they were, and what roles or perceptions they embodied. We consider the archetype of the woman portrayed by Warhol or Lichtenstein and how that differs from representations in contemporary artists’ work. The guided tour looks at both women artists who received less attention during pop art’s heyday, such as Yayoi Kusama and Barbara Kruger, and contemporary artists using pop-like approaches, such as Bambi, Noisy, Mall Nukke and others. Themed tour duration is approximately 1 hour. The guided tour is available in Estonian or English. The guide takes up to 25 people at a time, so for larger groups multiple tours should be booked. In that case tours will start roughly 15 minutes apart (e.g. first group at 13:00, second group at 13:15, etc.). NB! The tour can be shortened if necessary — please let us know any special requests in advance! Please also indicate which language you want the tour in and what time you would like the tour to start.
