The White Swan is a year-round glass pavilion with panoramic views, located at the heart of Silma Retreat’s outdoor area. It is the sunniest spot in the outdoor area, offering views in every direction – of the historic Hunting Lodge, the pool, the pond and the greenery of Silma. At the heart of the White Swan is a kitchen with a large marble island, around which it is pleasant to gather both while preparing food and simply spending time together. Dining takes place at a large communal table, which can be extended with additional tables according to the size of the group. The other half of the room is occupied by a cosy Edra sofa, and in front of it hangs the Ergofocus fireplace, which rotates 360 degrees and has won several design awards. Special acoustic fabric ceilings ensure excellent acoustics in the room. The White Swan and the terrace extending over its pool have been designed as one whole. The glass doors can be opened wide, making the boundary between indoors and outdoors almost disappear completely. On the terrace, you can sunbathe on loungers and step straight into the water. The eye-shaped concrete pool is heated. A concrete path winding through the outdoor area and a curved concrete bridge lead to the White Swan, connecting the pavilion with the rest of Silma. On a summer day, warm pool water, sunshine and a sun lounger can alternate with preparing a meal together; music plays in the background, food is prepared in the wood-fired oven, and all around are the greenery, hum and flowing water of Silma. By evening, the entire area is transformed by light: the White Swan is surrounded by bell-shaped path lights, illuminated trees and Viabizzuno “Lilia” lights set into the landscape, while the glass pavilion itself glows softly in the middle of the outdoor area. The White Swan is a building constructed for full year-round use. Triple-glazed units and very good insulation, together with geothermal heating and hydronic underfloor heating, keep the room pleasantly warm even on cold winter days. An air-source heat pump can provide additional warmth when needed or cool the room in warm weather. The steel Ergofocus fireplace and the wood-fired oven provide additional warmth and cosiness. Heat-recovery ventilation ensures fresh air all year round. In winter, the same place is completely different, yet no less special. Behind the glass walls, the snowy and fairytale-like nature of Silma unfolds, while inside it is warm and fires burn in the fireplace and pizza oven. From the Edra sofa or around the communal table, you can enjoy panoramic views of wintertime Silma – in the warmth and glow of the fire. Meanwhile, the more adventurous can take a dip in the pool – aerators keep part of the water’s surface free of ice even in winter. If desired, the event can also include separate reservations for the Black Swan spa or Silma’s traditional Smoke Sauna on the island. The White Swan is the heart of Silma Retreat’s outdoor area. Must Luik offers private and comfortable accommodation for two people. The spacious lounge becomes a bedroom in the evening—the sofa bed opens out into a 160 cm wide double bed, and the large glass panels can be closed off at night with blackout curtains. A wardrobe is available in the room for storing belongings. The accommodation functions as an independent unit, with everything needed for a comfortable stay provided on site. The kitchenette includes a refrigerator, dishwasher and Nespresso capsule coffee machine, as well as the necessary crockery and cutlery. The accommodation also has a separate toilet and bathroom. One of the room’s central features is the fireplace. The fire and cosy lighting create a welcoming atmosphere in the evenings, while the large glass panels offer views of the pond and the entire surrounding yard. The wide seating nook built into the window is a pleasant place simply to sit and take in the surroundings. Staying at Must Luik in winter is an experience in itself—with the fire crackling, cosy light all around and the snowy yard visible through the large glass panels, time seems to stand still and the hours pass unnoticed. Year-round indoor comfort is ensured by underfloor heating powered by geothermal energy and heat-recovery ventilation. The room also has an air-source heat pump, which can be used to cool it in summer and, if desired, as an additional source of heating. For an additional fee, guests can also book use of the Must Luik spa, which includes a Finnish sauna and a steam sauna, allowing an overnight stay to be combined with a private spa experience.

Built in 1906, Silma Hunting Lodge is the historic heart of Silma Retreat. Completely renovated in 2021, the building preserves the architecture and character of the historic hunting lodge while combining them with luxurious modern comfort and world-class design. The interior features marble and other high-quality materials, furniture custom-made specifically for the Hunting Lodge, and internationally renowned design. The bespoke furniture is complemented by, among other pieces, an Edra sofa, a Tai Ping rug, and lighting by leading designers. Attention to detail extends from the bathroom fittings and hardware to the switches and sockets – the entire house has been designed as one coherent whole. The Hunting Lodge is rented out in its entirety to one group and accommodates up to nine people. The ground floor comprises a spacious living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen with a large marble island, a study-bedroom with a sofa bed, and one of the three bathrooms. At the heart of the living room is a fireplace made of green glazed tiles. Tall, airy windows bring abundant natural light into the rooms and open up views of the nature surrounding Silma. A restored Art Nouveau staircase leads to the second floor, where the bedrooms, two bathrooms, two terraces, and a cosy reading area with a Focus-style metal fireplace are located. One of the Hunting Lodge’s highlights is the master bathroom, with tall windows and an exceptionally high ceiling, featuring a freestanding bathtub and marble surfaces. Despite its historic character, the Hunting Lodge is technically modern and a fully breathable house. Heat-recovery ventilation ensures fresh air and a good indoor climate year-round, a ground-source heating system provides even warmth during colder periods, and cooling units in all main rooms, including the bedrooms, maintain a comfortable temperature on warmer summer days. The Hunting Lodge is surrounded by Silma’s spacious grounds and nature. In the immediate vicinity of the house is a private, eye-shaped outdoor concrete pool, which can be heated for an additional fee. Silma Hunting Lodge combines the character of a historic house, world-class design, and luxurious modern accommodation – in a private setting amid the nature of Silma.

Päkapikumaja is one of Silma’s most distinctive places to stay – a concrete basement apartment blending into the forest, whose moss-covered roof, curved forms and expansive glass surfaces connect the house with the surrounding nature. Here, nature begins right outside the door, yet no compromises have been made when it comes to comfort and luxury. The interior brings together vaulted ceilings, a suspended fireplace, top Italian and French design, art, and carefully selected materials and details. The house has a bedroom with a wide double bed, an open-plan living and dining area, a kitchen and a bathroom. The exceptionally comfortable sofa bed in the living room provides sleeping space for two more guests. Päkapikumaja is made of concrete, which helps keep the indoor climate pleasant all year round – warm in winter and cool in summer. Comfort is ensured by underfloor heating based on geothermal energy, air conditioning, and everything needed for a comfortable stay. Behind the glass doors, the house continues as a flowing thermally modified ash terrace that follows the building’s own soft lines and blends into the forest. Next to the terrace, beneath a large oak tree, awaits a private wood-fired hot tub, where both the bubble function and coloured lighting can be switched on. In the evenings, an illuminated parasol creates an inviting atmosphere on the terrace; its colours and lighting modes can be selected with a remote control. A unique part of Päkapikumaja is the wine cellar, which is entirely at the guests’ disposal. It is not merely a place to store wine, but part of the house’s concept – a separate room with a wine menu where guests can choose wines and sparkling drinks to suit their taste. Päkapikumaja is the perfect accommodation for those attending an event at Silma who wish to experience something more than just a place to spend the night. After the event, you can wind down in peace, enjoy wine, the fireplace or the hot tub, and wake up in the middle of the forest. Haapsalu city centre is just a five-minute drive away, yet at Päkapikumaja the city feels much farther away.

Silma glamping is located away from the rest of the complex, on the edge of the forest and bog – a place surrounded by nature, silence and open space. It is Silma’s most secluded accommodation, reached by a boardwalk, where the entire area is reserved exclusively for glamping guests. At the heart of the glamping site is a luxurious 28 m² tent that combines being in nature with genuine comforts. Instead of a conventional tent floor, it features an insulated Kodiak spruce plank floor – a rare solution in glamping that gives the tent a completely different level of comfort and quality. The tent has a wide double bed, a wood-burning fireplace, electricity and hot water, as well as a kitchenette with a refrigerator, capsule coffee machine, kettle and toaster. Bed linen, towels, bathrobes and slippers are provided for guests. The tent also has a minibar, whose contents are available for an additional charge. In front of the tent is a 40 m² terrace that serves as the glamping site's outdoor living room – a place to eat, grill or simply watch the bog and everything happening above it. The terrace has a parasol and sun loungers, and its open location makes it one of the best places at Silma to enjoy the sun in peace. The glamping site lies along a bird flight corridor, and birds are constantly flying over the bog here. Because of the bog landscape, the entire glamping area has been built on stilts: nearly 170 m² of terraces and wooden walkways in total, connecting the tent, sauna, outdoor toilet and other parts of the glamping site into one whole. This makes it possible to move around and spend time comfortably in the middle of the bog while leaving the surrounding nature as undisturbed as possible. When darkness falls, the area is transformed completely – both the wooden walkways and the edges of the terraces are illuminated, while thoughtfully designed outdoor lighting creates a completely unique atmosphere in the middle of the bog. The glamping site has its own wood-fired Finnish sauna, which is also entirely for the guests’ use. The separate barrel sauna has a changing room, a shower area with hot water and a sink, and a steam room. A ceramic grill is also available on the terrace. The glamping site is suitable as accommodation for guests attending an event at Silma, offering them a completely private experience alongside the event. At the end of the day, you can return here along the boardwalk, enjoy the sauna, light the fireplace in the tent and settle into the silence of the bog – still at Silma, yet pleasantly far from the rest of the world.

Silma’s smoke sauna is not just a sauna visit, but an evening in its own right on a small island in the middle of the lake. To reach the island, you cross a bridge over the water, and after just a few steps, the rest of Silma is left behind – all around you are water, forest and nature. The steam of a genuine smoke sauna differs from that of an ordinary sauna. The chimneyless sauna is heated throughout the day until the stones are thoroughly hot. After the ashes have been removed and the room aired, what remains is the soft and gentle steam created by the residual heat of the stones. It is difficult to describe in words – a smoke sauna has to be experienced. The smoke sauna evening always begins at 17.00, when the sauna is ready after a full day of heating. Between steam sessions, you can go swimming directly in the lake, all year round. In winter, an aerator keeps the swimming spot ice-free, so you can jump into the lake from the hot smoke sauna even when there is ice all around. In addition to enjoying the smoke sauna, you can go out on the lake in a rowing boat, fish or simply spend time on the island. Fish or other food can be prepared in the Tamme smoke oven or on the Kamado Joe grill, while smoked-sauna evenings at Silma traditionally also include charcoal potatoes with butter and salt. As darkness falls, the atmosphere on the island becomes even more special. Surrounded by forest and water, there is little artificial light here, and on a clear night it is wonderful to watch the stars. The Northern Lights have also occasionally been seen at Silma. The evening can unfold at its own pace – sometimes in the steam room, sometimes in the lake, in the boat or simply spending time on the island. The price of the smoke sauna includes: • Heating the sauna throughout the day and preparing it; • a sauna whisk; • charcoal potatoes with butter and salt; • use of a rowing boat on the lake; • use of the Tamme smoke oven and Kamado Joe grill; • use of the kitchenette with a coffee machine, refrigerator and tableware; • year-round swimming in the lake. You may bring your own food and drinks. The smoke sauna can be booked as a separate package or added to other Silma packages.

The heart of Musta Luik’s spa area is a spacious relaxation room and two distinctive saunas – a Finnish sauna and a steam sauna. The relaxation room is intended for enjoyable leisure time before and after using the sauna. The fireplace and cosy lighting create a warm atmosphere, while the large glass surfaces offer views of the surrounding garden area and pond. Spending time here in winter is a particularly memorable experience – with the fire crackling, surrounded by cosy light and looking out through the large glass surfaces at the snowy garden, time seems to stand still and the hours pass unnoticed. A wide seating alcove built into the window creates an especially pleasant place to relax, offering views across the entire garden area. The relaxation room also features a kitchenette with a refrigerator and dishwasher, and the spa area includes a separate toilet. The Finnish sauna looks directly onto the birch trees growing on the pond’s shore, which are illuminated after dark. The pond was designed to be deep enough from the outset for guests to jump straight into the water after leaving the sauna – a designated spot for this is located to the left of the stairs when exiting the sauna. After dark, the rocky shore area to the right of the jumping spot is also illuminated, making it easy to see the surroundings clearly when entering and leaving the water. The Finnish sauna has a remotely controlled HUUM heater and a Saunum air circulation system; together, they ensure an even temperature and a pleasant, well-balanced steam. In the steam sauna, guests can additionally enjoy a eucalyptus aroma, while the solution with small light points integrated into the ceiling creates a starry-sky effect. Both saunas have their own sound system. Music can be selected from various radio channels, or a phone or other device can be connected via Bluetooth.
