Laulupeomuuseum

At Laulupeomuuseum you can rent several spaces for your event: a large hall, a small hall, a theatre space, and the park and inner courtyard. You can also combine your event with workshops, guided tours, and a museum experience. Laulupeomuuseum is located in a 19th-century neoclassical building that housed Vanemuise Selts, the organizer of the first Estonian Song Festival and the founder of the national theatre. The first Estonian-language play premiered here; its author was Lydia Koidula, a prominent poet of Estonia’s national awakening, who thereby helped lay the foundations of the Estonian national theatre. The museum showcases the song festival tradition as well as the 150-year history and legacy of the Vanemuise theatre.
